Sunshine Mango Smoothie Bowl
Equipment
- Blender or nutribullet
Ingredients
For Smoothie
- 4 slices pineapple
- 1.5 mango medium size, or 2 small
- 1 banana
- 1 tsp lemon juice or 1/2 tsp lemon zest
- 1/2 cup water
For Garnishing
- 1/2 Mango thin slices
- 1 banana cut in circles/discs
- 4 mint leaves
Instructions
- Blend all the smoothie ingredients together
- Check consistency and add more water if required. When making a bowl, I like to keep it thick and usually 1/2 to 3/4 cup water is enough.
- Transfer to a bowl and garnish with mango, banana and mint leaves.
Notes
- Feel free to play around with choice of fruits depending on what is in season. For a nice and creamy base, pulpy fruits (mango, papaya, banana, chiku) work best so make sure to include at least any of these with other fruits of your choice.
- Avoid mixing melons or citrus fruits as that is poor food combining.
